Missed You Guys!

I truly missed you guys these last couple of days! We are down to the wire. Next week is going to be NUTS for all of us. (I know several finals for virtual classes and AP classes) This is when the rubber meets the road! You guys can do it but we have to finish strong! You guys have worked so hard so we can't let up now! As of right now we have sold more tickets than ANY other show in LCA's theatre history! 11 seats left for Thursday and 58 left for Sunday - we have reserved 291 tickets!

I read all the notes from the last 2 rehearsals - some are repeats from several weeks ago. Please read back over the old posts and see what you have missed. I don't want to see the same notes again...next week is all about clean up! :)

A few notes worth mentioning for the ENTIRE CAST...

  • check lines and lyrics

  • listen to your CD the whole thing!! more than once.

  • energy, energy, energy

  • SMILE with your whole face! (raising your eyebrows helps!)

  • LOUD and SLOW DOWN! (we want the little old lady on the back row to hear and understand you!)

  • all costumes need to be on campus (including socks and shoes by Monday)

Rehearsals for SHOW week!

  • Monday - lunch rehearsal AND principles after school for a quick (15 min) run thru of Book Report - baseball players will need to be dressed and on the field at 3:30. AND Snoopy with Suppertime dancers until 4:15

  • Tuesday - lunch rehearsal

  • Wednesday - full dress rehearsal (hair and makeup) after school ALL students MUST be here for the entire rehearsal! (This one will be recorded!) - plan on being here until 5:30 just in case!

  • Thursday - you will NOT leave after school - still deciding on what we will do for dinner - SHOWTIME 7PM

I will be on campus in the morning starting at 8:00 am finishing up props, etc. If you'd like to come help...I'd love it!

I really am proud of each of you! You have worked hard and I appreciate it.

POST A COMMENT BY MONDAY MORNING AT 8:00AM. 1 thing you learned about yourself while working on this musical (seriously!)

  1. First, I'm a little bit confused on one tiny little thing I'm doing. When I have the line about Beethoven loving nature and blah blah blah, etc... am I supposed to come on stage after the lights come up, or am I supposed to be there already when they come up?

Also, I learned that I basically AM Schroeder.

  2. Be there when they come up. You will have a sign that says how many days until Beethoven's birthday~ Really looking forward to the performance!

  4. hi! i've always hated (and been scared)to sing in front of people, so through this musical i have learned it really isn't all that bad when you go for it and be confident. (:

  5. I have learned that I absolutely LOVE doing theatrical type music! Singing it is so much fun and it has opened me up and showed me some things I can do with my voice that I never really thought I could..also...its always better to make a BIG mistake than a small one (:
